The Triangle X Ranch offers many summer
activities that will give you a taste of adventure and the traditional ways
of the West.
Riding
Completely
surrounded by vast expanses of National Park and National Forest Lands, the Triangle X
offers superb horseback riding. You'll enjoy changing vistas of the Teton
range and Snake River valley as you travel a great variety of trails: along
the river where elk, moose and bison are often seen, over sagebrush flats,
through green foothill meadows with colorful wildflowers, or to the top of
timbered mountains. You can always choose from a variety of rides, ranging
from short "slow" rides to "fast" rides covering longer
distances. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, you'll be
given a personal mount from our string of well trained saddle horses
according to your preference and ability. Beginners are given special
attention and soon come to feel like "old hands" on the trail.
Hiking,
Photography, Swimming, Sightseeing
The
ranch is ideally located for varied hiking, ranging from the gentle terrain
of the valley floor and surrounding foothills to the more challenging
trails into the Teton and Gros Ventre Ranges. Photographers can
keep busy capturing the breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife
and wildflower displays--or just trying to keep up with the family.
Swimmers can enjoy an old fashioned swimming hole in a side channel of the
river. There are numerous possibilities for scenic auto trips. Grand Teton National Park offers many things
to see and do. Yellowstone National Park, only 32 miles
away, can easily be visited with a day trip from the ranch.
Trout
Fishing
Jackson Hole has hundreds of miles of streams and
numerous lakes where you can pursue a variety of trout species to your
heart's content. The Snake River, a great cutthroat
trout stream, winds its way through the ranch property. You'll find miles
of good banks to fish on your own, or the ranch can provide you with a raft
and a guide for an enjoyable day of float fishing. Lake fishing is also
available.
Ranch
Accommodations
The
atmosphere at the Triangle X is relaxed and congenial. Our guests enjoy the
opportunity to get to know one another. Each party has their own one, two or three bedroom log cabins with bathrooms. The
ranch has an unsurpassed view of the entire Teton Range and cabin
interiors are clean, comfortable and attractively
furnished. All linens are provided. Meals are served family style in the
beautiful sun porch dining room of the main lodge. The fare is hearty, healthy and delicious.

The Triangle X Ranch has been owned and
operated by the Turner family for over 80 years. Four generations of this
well known family have been welcoming guests to fun-filled ranch vacations
in Jackson Hole. Warm hospitality is a way of life, and
the Turner's will individually help to make your vacation the best ever.
