Northwest Wyoming is a showcase for some of America's premier wilderness areas: the Teton, the Washakie, the Absaroka, Shoshone and the Gros Ventre, as well as the back country of Yellowstone National Park. This contiguous ecosystem (over 6,000 square miles) offers one of the richest wildlife complexes left anywhere in the world. This is Continental Divide Country and contains the headwaters of three great river systems. It is a land filled with great beauty, history, and legend. A Triangle X Pack Trip into this beautiful region offers you one of the most exciting and rewarding vacations of a lifetime, and allows you to enjoy this wonderful country in a very special way.

Horseback Riding

Our horses are well trained, strong, and mountain wise. One does not need to be an expert rider to fully enjoy the trip; the region has a well-maintained trail system, and the pace is relaxed. Days are often spent riding and exploring remote areas off the beaten track. You will enjoy exploring areas seldom visited, viewing summering wildlife, searching for wily trout, or photographing mountain vistas.

Perfect for Families

Our trips usually comprise just your family or a group of friends. The daily itinerary is tailored to your interests, whether it be riding, photography, fishing, looking for wildlife, exploring, or just relaxing. Our trips are excellent for youngsters, and children as young as five have enjoyed the wonders of the wilderness.

"Rough It" in Style

We invite you to "rough it" in style at our wilderness camps. Our guides, wranglers and cooks are experienced, know the country, enjoy their work, and are good companions in the hills. Our menu features fresh meats, vegetables, salads, fruit, eggs, bacon, coffee and juices, all expertly prepared and in abundance. You will find our camps very comfortable. We supply clean, warm sleeping bags, mattresses, and sturdy sleeping tents. Relaxing around the campfire at the end of the day offers a perfect opportunity for storytelling and reminiscing about the day's adventures.

Fishing

The Yellowstone-Teton Wilderness area offers some of the finest Cutthroat trout fishing in America. Clear blue lakes and fast-running streams have an abundance of trout for the fishing enthusiast. The fishing is good with either spinning gear or a fly rod.
